Open-air premiere for The Wirtshaus Show
A late summer morning on the terrace of the “Steegwirt” was the idyllic setting for the first and only morning edition of the tavern show on September 1st in Bad Goisern.

In fact, every show is a premiere, as initiator and presenter Kira Saskia Schinko depends on the unrepeatable live experience: Personality, directness and uniqueness are the program of the tavern show and also made for a highly entertaining morning at Steegwirt.

Diversity is one of Kira's particular concerns. In this spirit, the decision was also made to counter the evening dates of the show with a Sunday morning drink edition: “This will reach a completely different audience.” The plan worked: in addition to a whole number of children, whom Kira kindly and elegantly included in the program, there were also excursion guests who enriched their bike tour with a visit to the tavern show.

At first glance, contrasting, but after a few profound discussions, the prominent guests were also on the same wavelength: Hans Peter Falkner, an “old hand” of cultural events as a musician and part of the Attwenger duo, and the young journalist Anna Jandrisevits, who is very active in the new media. Naturally, the sensitivities and problems of the local tavern culture were addressed. It was quickly agreed: they are the mirror and the product of social grievances, which are clearly noticeable in increasing loneliness, individual powerlessness and a glaring deficit in terms of welcoming culture.

The trend of eventizing tradition, which was also criticized, was counterbalanced, at least musically, in the form of the multi-faceted, multicultural live band “DonauVerhau” and when Hans Peter Falkner himself picked up the accordion.
