Whether the old custom of the “Liachtbratl”, from which the wind ensemble took its name, is well known in the Almtal Valley? In Bad Ischl, Altmünster, Ebensee and Scharnstein, where the musicians are at home, people know this secret holiday, which was celebrated whenever the summer slowly came to an end and the light had to be lit for the first time in the workshop; it was always up to the master to invite his team to roast, and the “Liachtbratln” is still celebrated today in many different ways.
An occasion for festive and cozy get-togethers is quickly found in the Salzkammergut and is ideally placed in the combination of a traditional village inn and seasoned musicians. On this evening, the Liachtbratlers let the spacious rooms, guest and winter garden at Gasthof Silbermair echo wind sounds that suit every taste, from traditional to Bohemian to modern brass music.
