The Hoftaverne in the center of Vorchdorf looks back on a success story spanning around 500 years and is run by the fourth generation of the Ziegelböck family. Although their own farm has now given way to a hotel - “a pile of dung in the middle of the village square is no longer so well received today” (Franz Ziegelböck) - the excellent cuisine remains loyal to the region's produce. The restaurant breathes comfort in a historic setting, loved and appreciated by regular guests, local associations and vacationing hotel guests.

On this evening, the hosts Franz and Ingrid Ziegelböck in Vorchdorf, the gateway to the Salzkammergut, host a young, dynamic wind quartet from Traunkirchen: With Jakob, Raphael, Simon and Lukas, there is a proper “sheet” and a proper atmosphere is created.

The founding story of the ensemble already characterizes what is important to the young musicians: “Our four-person line-up has come together from different circles. Starting with two motivated music colleagues, through friendships at neighboring clubs and then the meetings and shared musical passion at music camp and one or the other music festival. The idea was born a long time ago and thanks to the atmospheric environment and the inspiring flair at the “Woodstock of Brass Music” 2022, we finally went to a first rehearsal together! Since Gfrei ma Uns Wonn is played together and we have fun at the Quartettln Hom!” (Jakob Huemer)
