The Hot Box is the product of a cooperation between the cooking collective Healthy Boy Band (Philip Rachinger, Lukas Mraz and Felix Schellhorn) and the agency friendship.is as part of the European Capital of Culture Bad Ischl Salzkammergut 2024. The focus is on an inter-cultural rethinking and revival of host culture, as a place of social interaction and in particular as a mobile training center for catering professions in the area of tension between image problems and a shortage of skilled workers in the sector.
What is there? sausage. And why? Because it doesn't just matter anyway. Because it's actually about a lot more than what's on the plate. And that is what the Healthy Boy Band stands for, which serves up between stones, water and fish on June 8; in the HOT BOX BUILDING, where the traditional Japanese omakase concept meets cutting-edge sausage stand architecture. By the way, omakase translates as “I'll leave it up to you” and refers to the fact that the choice of food is entirely up to the host and is freshly prepared at the bar in front of the guest. A decisive element of omakase is the element of surprise with which the chef amazes the guest.
